Description

Thermosel System provides a stable, precisely controlled sample environment for measuring the viscosity of materials at elevated temperatures. With accurate temperature control and integration with standard AMETEK Brookfield viscometers, the Thermosel System ensures reproducible viscosity measurements for challenging materials such as hot melts, asphalt, wax, and polymers.

Features and Benefits
  • Accurate Elevated Temperature Testing: The Thermosel allows precise control of sample temperatures up to +300°C, ensuring stable, reproducible results, even for difficult-to-measure materials.
  • Small Sample Volume with Temperature Control: The small sample volume insulated sample chamber reduces temperature gradients, resulting in more consistent data. The rotating spindle acts as a built-in stirring device, further improving accuracy.
  • Programmable Temperature Controller: Offers single or up to 10 programmable set points for automated temperature control. Temperature ramping between set points is also available when used with RheocalcT software.
  • Magnetic Coupling Option: Available with an optional magnetic spindle coupling system that allows quick attachment and removal of spindles, helping to prevent damage and streamline operation.
  • Disposable Sample Chambers and Spindles: For materials that are difficult to clean, the Thermosel supports disposable sample chambers and spindles (SC4-27D), ideal for asphalt or other sticky substances.

Applications

The Thermosel System is ideal for a range of high-temperature applications, including:

  • Hot Melts
  • Asphalt
  • Waxes
  • Polymers
